This statement reflects the management team’s intent and beliefs, and our attitudes towards residents, relatives and colleagues, showing an awareness of their spiritual, physical and psychological needs.

We recognise that every resident at Ashford Lodge is an individual in their own right and is entitled to appropriate and imaginative care in their own personal needs. To accomplish this purpose we need to provide privacy, dignity and personal identity at all times.

Have a genuine commitment to the well being of our residents, colleagues, relatives and friends.

Develop effective communication skills which will enhance the overall care of residents and ensure close working relationships with relatives and colleagues.

Maintain an awareness of an up to date understanding of the principles and theories specific to the care of the elderly and of the changes and development in professional practice. We do this by a continuous training programme and by sharing our findings with other members of staff.

We have genuine commitment to involving residents in their delivery of care and providing relatives with support, information and encouragement.

Provision of social, remedial and recreational stimulation and to meeting all spiritual needs.
